ReconciliationIt might have been more than a few years since your last confession. Or maybe only a few months. Whatever the case, before getting Confirmed, you need to be in a state of grace. And the only way that happens is by going to confession.
Step 1: Watch the VIDEO to refresh your memory on why we need confession and how it's done. Step 2: Go to Confession. Actually go to Confession. Don't just think about going - go. This is a big deal and needs to be done before you get Confirmed. It helps if you make a plan. Decide where an when you are going, how you are getting there and who you are going with.. Then go. I promise, you'll feel great after you go to reconciliation! Father Roger is available 30 minutes before each Mass every weekend. You can also check out the Reconciliation schedules at St. Thomas and St. Anne's. |

Bob Rice Explains the CreedWe all say it each week at Mass, but what is the Creed? What does it mean? How can it help make a difference in my life?
The creed is more than a list of things which we believe. It is a statement of our faith in the word we have heard proclaimed in the Scripture and the homily, and a profession of the faith that leads us to give our lives for one another as Christ gave his life for us. Step 1: Watch the video. Step 2: As we hear and say the Creed over and over we discover that seeing is not believing. Rather, believing becomes a new way of seeing. Write down how you think believing in the Creed helps you see God's work in our world and in our lives. |

Eucharistic AdorationWe spent an hour in Eucharistic Adoration during the retreat.
Father Mike Schmitz takes the time to help explain why we believe that Jesus is fully present in the Eucharist, why Adoration is an hour that will change your live, and share his experiences with the true intimacy that the Lord offers us in the Eucharist. After watching the video, plan to spend just a few minutes in with Jesus in our Adoration Chapel by the Tabernacle. Please ask Mr. Strout if you have any questions. |
